ismartecs is Tanzania’s dedicated smart home products store, based in Dar es Salaam. We specialise in smart switches, sockets, sensors, lighting, security, and home automation accessories the essentials that transform ordinary houses into intelligent, connected homes.

Founded in 2024, ismartecs was born from a simple observation: Tanzanian homeowners and businesses were increasingly curious about smart home technology, but the options available locally were limited, confusing, or priced well beyond reach. Most people had to either import devices individually at great expense, or settle for generic electronics stores with staff who could not answer basic compatibility questions.

Our Story

ismartecs started as a passion project. As lifelong tech enthusiasts, we were frustrated by how difficult it was to build a proper smart home in Tanzania. We wanted to control our lights from our phones, automate our water heaters, and receive alerts when someone rang our doorbell. But every product we tried had a catch: the hub was not available locally, the app was not supported in Tanzania, or the wiring did not match the Tanzanian standard.

So we decided to solve the problem ourselves. We researched the best smart home technologies, tested dozens of products, partnered with reliable manufacturers, and built our own brand of devices designed specifically for Tanzanian homes, products that actually work with our power systems, our Wi-Fi networks, and our daily lives.

Today, ismartecs serves customers across Dar es Salaam and all of Tanzania, from first-time buyers curious about a single smart bulb to homeowners wiring up entire villas with Zigbee switches.
